About Claire

Miss Claire Gandy Shining Stars AcademyClaire Gandy has been a dancer for over 25 years and has been teaching dance for the past 20 years under the direction and guidance of the Association of American Dancing.  She has teaching qualifications in all 3 genres of dance – being ballet, tap dancing and modern jazz.  She is an Associate member of the AAD (Association of American Dancing) & NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing ).   Claire also has teaching diplomas with the NATD in Gymnastic dance and Contemporary dance.  She is also  licensed to practice the teaching of  the IDT (International Dance Technique) programme.

Claire has performed in numerous shows and competitions and has choreographed shows at many schools and local pantomimes.

Claire is an experienced nursery nurse and is qualified to NVQ level 3 in Early Years Education.  This career blends itself perfectly with her dance experience.  Her passion for dance and preschool education prompted her to respond to the local need for quality dance instruction with a deep understanding of the development of younger children.
